Fiscal Sponsorship Application

This online application must be submitted in one session. It is important to prepare your materials and your application answers ahead of time.

First, compile your documents for upload.

Compile the following into a folder on your hard drive, compress the folder and email the zip file or link to Asaf Ronen

1.Resumes of the three advisory board members of your project (please include contact information on the resumes). Both professional and performance/exhibition resumes are acceptable. One of the resumes must be from the applicant.

The file names should be formatted as Your_Project_Name_Persons_Name_Resume.pdf (or .doc)

2. Letters of Commitment from the three advisory board members of the proposed Project (500 words or less for each letter of commitment). The letters must describe why they are committed to the project/group and what motivates them to be involved. One of the letters must be from the applicant.

The file names should be formatted as Your_Project_Name_Persons_Name_LOC.pdf (or .doc)

3. Documentation that exemplifies your body of work. This includes but is not limited to photographs, audio clips or video selections of your work, press reviews, letters of support from patrons. If you can supply links to online documentation, uploading additional documentation is optional.

The file names should be formatted as Your_Project_Name_Documentation_1.filetype, Your_Project_Name_Documentation_2.filetype, etc.

4. Your Budget. You may also enter your budget in the text field on the next page. If you do upload your budget here, format the file name as Your_Project_Name_budget.pdf

Next, compose your application answers.

We suggest you work on your answers in a text editing program then cut and paste them into our online form.

Applications for becoming Fiscally Sponsored by Austin Creative Alliance are judged on three main criteria: Merit, Definition, and Viability.

MERIT - This is where we to get to know the vision of your organization and the community you are serving.

  • List all artistic disciplines or fields your project engages in.

  • What is the mission and vision of your project?

  • What City Council district do you consider your home base?

  • What districts do you serve?

  • What is the demographic representation of the members in your organization?

  • What is the demographic representation of your audience?

DEFINITION - This is where we get to better understand the scope and details of your project.

  • List and describe the public events your project will produce. Include any potential venues or scheduling, even if it is tentative.

  • What is the scope of your project? (i.e., how many projects you produce a year, how many people you reach, etc.)

  • What is your marketing plan? (i.e., what platforms do you use, what organizations do you collaborate with, what are your outreach efforts?)

  • List your social media info: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn

VIABILITY - This is where we want to get to know your history, experience and staff, the things that show you know how to execute the projects you are proposing.

Tell us about you and your team. If you have an advisory board, list them and their areas of expertise.

What are your immediate goals in becoming fiscally sponsored by ACA? How will you measure your success in these goals?

What are three long-term goals or outcomes for the project over the next 5 years? How will you measure your success in these goals?
